Debbie is a nationally known teacher who taught one of her penny rugs at the 2009 Metropolitan Region Seminar.

This teapot size penny rug (10inch diameter), designed especially for our chapter, will offer the techniques of dimensional wool design and the history of the penny rug in one fun class. You'll learn to use freezer paper templates, the "veil" for accurate placement and needle slanting skills to make your work pop off the background.

Kit contents:
100% felted wool
matching wool threads
over-dyed and black perle cotton threads
freezer paper paper
needles
full sized pattern and reference photo.

Carol is a long time chapter member known for her beading and creative needlearts.

Two different size beads are used in a simple stringing technique to create this striking bracelet.

  Bobbi developed a lifelong passions for needlework beginning at age four while stitching by her grandmother's knee. She pursued this passion through college and has continued volunteering at museums, writing articles and presenting lectures. Bobbi has taught at local and national EGA Seminars. She's a favorite of our chapter.

 

  Bobbi will be telling us about embroidery with respect to the whole "Decorative Arts" movement around the turn of the 1900's.  (Arts & Crafts, Glasgow School, Aesthetic movement when the Royal School of Needlework was established) 
She will be bringing visual aids.

This delightful needle book will have a 35th Anniversary design on the cover with one wool felt page and a pocket in the front inside and back inside covers.
